Awesome Exterior Natural Wood and Cementicous Envelope

Lord Kitchener is a beautiful new school in Vancouver, BC.. Actually, it was a modern addition to a completely refitted heritage building that served as the original school. This project presented many unique challenges due to its unusual use of natural, clear cedar mixed with modern cementicious siding, trim, soffits, shakes and shingles .

The end result, as you can see, is a beautiful structure mixing old school charm with a modern and decidedly 'west coast' look and feel.

PWC installed the entire exterior envelope/rainscreen from top to bottom.

This project was featured prominently in Award Magazine, which is Canada's most widely read architectural and design focussed magazine.
